After a satisfying meal, many of us just want to lay down for the rest of the night and watch a great movie or TV show. Taking a shower
If you were thinking about to take a shower after the meal, forget about it! After having a meal all the energy and the blood flow is focused around the stomach and the intestines in order to digest the food. Do you know what will happen if you take a shower right after eating? The brain will give an order to the blood to rush to the limbs to moderate the temperature, this will lead to bad digestion because of the limited blood flow.
You probably thought you could eat fruit at any time, didn’t you? Well, it’s actually best to eat fruit on an empty stomach. This is because fruits require different enzymes to digest, and the simple sugars in fruit need time to be absorbed completely by the body. With nothing else in your belly, you benefit from all the nutrients, fiber, and simple sugars. Go for a walk
There are a lot of people that think that going for a walk after a meal can benefit your body, but the last researches say that this is only partly correct. According to the Department of Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina, people should go for a walk for at least half hour after having a meal and the walk should be around 10 minutes. This way you will avoid heartburns and indigestion.
