Get Home Remedies for Cystic Acne
Almost everyone has pimples during puberty. But if there are large red bumps which are painful, then it must be cystic acne. This happens due to the clogging of the skin pores. When inflammation reaches deep into the skin, a bump that is full of puss is formed. Such conditions require medical help, but if you prefer an affordable but effective treatment for cystic acne, you may try the following home remedies. Of late, people are using DIY home remedies because these are safe. These are mostly based on natural products and do not contain any harsh chemicals that can damage your skin.
You may try any of the following home remedies:
1. Oatmeal Mask
Oatmeal delivers a good result for treating cystic acne by absorbing excess oil. Cook the oatmeal in filtered water and cool in the refrigerator or mix instant oatmeal with filtered water for making a paste. Apply this as a face mask leaving to stay for about thirty minutes and wash with warm water. Regular use of this will exfoliate dead cells and render smooth and soft skin.
2. Apply Baking Soda
Due to its anti-inflammatory property, baking soda also delivers good results in treating cystic acne. This absorbs the excess oil from the skin and exfoliates the dead skin cells resulting in smooth and healthy skin. To apply to make a paste with little water and massage the affected area with the paste for around 15 seconds or so and rinse with warm water and pat dry.
3. Try Apple Cider Vinegar
Loaded with antibacterial, astringent and anti-inflammatory substances, Apple Cider Vinegar works well for remedying cystic acne. This natural product also helps to balance the skin pH. Just mix it with the same amount of water and wash your face. Alternatively, wash and dry your skin before going to bed and apply it directly on the affected area with a cotton ball and wash your face in the morning.
4. Use Citrus Juice
Due to their astringent properties and containing citric acid, lemon and orange juices are highly effective in arresting cystic acne. Wash and dry your face and apply freshly prepared juice, filtered to eliminate seeds and pulp, and apply on the affected area. Rinse after thirty minutes. This product of nature will reduce swelling and inflammation to a great extent.
5. Honey and Aspirin Combo
Aspirin has great exfoliating properties. Add little water to 2 aspirin tablets, and crush to make a paste. Apply this on the face and wash with warm water after around 15 minutes. Dry and apply honey for moisturizing. This will yield good results.
Other than using home remedies, one should maintain personal hygiene, follow a healthy diet plan do exercise regularly for having healthier skin.
